Happy Belated Birthday, Glossing!

Last year, Harris County decided that our library would be a prototype for all the other ones in the county.  They started in September by installing self-check machines, and last Wednesday and Thursday, they completed the project by cutting down the front desk to 1/4  of its original size and installing new, improved, sleeker self-check machines that actually work.  This happened within a very stressful 24 hour time period.

When I arrived home Thursday night, I ate dinner and went straight to bed completely missing out onglossing 's birthday.  Friday night, I finally break down and check my e-mail.  I noticeglossing answered my Devonluv challenge. Hooray!  Then I read her brilliant story, Samantha Baker Has Left the Building, and did the ::facepalm:: that would have been heard around the world except you can't hear a ::facepalm::.  Happy belated birthday, sweetie!  Now everyone go read the story!
