This whole time, I've been thinking about my maternal grandmother. She died before I was born but she would fast for spiritual reasons. I can understand why people do it. It does get you past your somewhat carnal desire for food. Of course, they won't mean I'm not going to pig out tomorrow as soon as humanly possible. I love feeling in balance with the universe but I also love cake.

I agree with you about Oz and Devon. Oz could certainly handle it but Devon would constantly bitch about the situation.
