I forgot to post that I passed my typing test with a whopping 32 words per minute! Not great, but I only needed 30 words per minute for a library job.

My goal this month is to actually post more than once a month in this journal.

I really need to lobby for "random" and "incoherent" as LJ moods. That's pretty much the way I'm feeling tonight. It's way to hot (80) and sticky (100% humidity) here to be deep and philosophical. Even with the AC on it's just becomes cold and sticky. I hate Houston.

I spent last weekend in Austin with Tim, Terry, and Sharon. Austin is my Nirvanah. Beautiful weather, amazing bookstores (Book People and Monkey Wrench), the best live music scene in Texas (and quite possibly the world), fabulous galleries, and outstanding restaurants. Several people warned me that Austin had been taken over by Yuppies and had changed so much that I wouldn't recognize it. I hadn't been back since 1991 and it's still enchanting.
