What a Way to Start the Year...

By almost cutting off my finger with one of my Mom's new knives from Sur La Table! Luckily, it was the serrated knife so it merely chewed up my finger instead of taking it off completely. So, does anyone remember the old Saturday Night Live skit with Dan Ackroyd as Julia Child? That was pretty much me. Now, I'm going to take a pain killer and pass out for a while.
