I'm not easily creeped out, but this blackout in Northwest Houston is doing a fine job of it.
Our cable went out earlier in the day (thanks ghetto cable!) so my Dad resorted to listening to the Astro's game on the radio. For some odd reason, he doesn't like the stereo so he uses an old handheld radio of mine. When the Astros tanked, the talk began. People started calling in and reporting blackout stories. Of course, the radio people hyped it up so it was like a low rent version of War of the Worlds.
So far, we haven't lost our lights but I can't shake that uneasy feeling about the whole thing. Of course, it could also be the zombie nightmares that I've been having after seeing the preview of Land of the Dead.
