Wrecked

Today started off so promising. I woke up in a good mood. I got up early and drove to the gym to work out with my trainer. It was extremely foggy so I decided to take the protected turn instead of using the turn lane where there have been so many head-on wrecks lately. I didn't take into account the fact that the woman behind me desperately needed to write a check. In her car. While it was moving. The light turned green and the two cars in front of me slowly started to move forward, but all Mrs.CrazyBitchCheckWriter saw was a green light and gunned her engine. She plowed right into the back of me when I was at a full stop. When I got out of the car, she still had the checkbook and pen in her hand. At least she admitted what she was doing at the time.

Then the real fun begins. We both pull into the CVS parking lot and she jumps out of her car. My jaw and neck are killing me so I slowly get out and her first words are, "We need to make this fast because I have to drop me kids off at school and get to the bank." No, "Are you okay?" or "Can I help you?" I'm in pain and shaking and all she wants to do is get out of there. She then remarks that I'm lucky to have been hit and that I will get about $10,000 from her insurance company for my injury. At least that is what she got last time. She says she wished she was me because she really needs the money right now. WTF?! We exchange information and she zooms away. My gym is nearby so I manage to make it over there (no major damage to my car) and run into my trainer in the parking lot. She insists on driving me home because I'm not in the best condition.

My Mom called my doctor and made an appointment for me because I would be in the ER for about 8 hours. I haven't heard the results of my x-ray yet, but my doctor doesn't think there is any damage. My jaw won't unclench so she gave me a muscle relaxent, vicoprofun (vicoden and ibuprofen), and an anti-inflamatory. My jaw is still clenched. Probably due to repressed rage aimed at Mrs.CrazyBitchCheckWriter who by the way, reported the wreck to her insurance company a matter of minutes after it happened. When I got home from the doctor, there was a message on my answering maching from my insurance company that was time-stamped at 8:05 am (the wreck happened about 7:51 am). She wasn't too busy to do that errand. Motherfucker.

The fuck? What a bitch!

Very glad you're okay. I just can't believe what she did. I... yeah. Gotta hope that karma will get her.

I wish I could be there when Karma bites her in the ass. Which may be sooner than she thinks.

omg! I seem to attract those type of people behind me too...I've had similar accidents. I really hate those type of people!

What a complete bitch. *hugs you* I'm so glad you're okay. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to get behind the wheel. Writing a check while driving?? *loses a little more faith in the human race*

There are days when I think stupid people are taking over the world. Well, actually I think that pretty much every day.

My god, people suck. I hope everything turns out okay for you medically. And that you really do get $10,000 from her insurance company.

Unfortunately, she didn't pay her bills so her insurance policy was cancelled a few months ago. Of course, that explains why she didn't want to get the police involved. Luckily, I'm okay and I did get some nice Vicoprofen out of the deal.

I need to invest in some serious weirdo repellant. Between her and the crazies at the library who always make a beeline toward me, I'm beginning to think I emit some kind of sonar that only psychos can hear.
