01. The first character I first fell in love with. Mal. From the opening scene, I knew I would love him and the show.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now. Jayne.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't. I think one of the great things about Firefly is that I really can't think of a character that I hate.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates. Same here. I've never heard anyone voice a dislike for any certain character, but I've never hung around much in the fandom proper.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer. Still all for the Firefly love.
06. The character I would shag anytime. Do I have to choose just one? I mean everyone on Serenity is shagable. Even Book.
07. The character I'd want to be like. Book. I would love to have that kind of peace about my life.
08. The character I'd slap. In the series, Simon for being so clueles with Kaylee.
09. A pairing that I love. Wash/Zoe.
10. A pairing that I despise. River/anyone. Not that I don't love River, but I just don't see her being paired off with anyone.

This reminds me that I really need a DW icon. I started watching DW about 30 years ago which explains some of my answers. Our local NBC station showed DW after school in 30 minute chunks. When I was a teen, PBS took over the duty and showed entire stories.

01. The first character I first fell in love with. It's a tie between Sarah Jane Smith and the Fourth Doctor.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now. The Master. When I was growing up, I hated the Master. Now, he's kind of hot and full of subtext. Back then, he was just a villian.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't. I'm not that involved in fandom so I'm not sure.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates. I've run into a lot of Romana haters lately, but I still love her.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer. Leela. I don't hate her, but I'm just kind of indifferent to her.
06. The character I would shag anytime. Four. You just know he's a freak.
07. The character I'd want to be like. When I was growing up, I wanted to be Sarah Jane. I yearned to be a journalist and have adventures through time and space. She was pretty much my MarySue come to life. Now that I'm older I still want to be Sarah Jane because damn, she's still hot.
08. The character I'd slap. The Doctor (every incarnation at some point in the stories). For a smart guy, you have no idea how humans work. You would think that after all these years, you would figure it out. I still love you though.
09. A pairing that I love. Sarah/Ten. I love reunion sex.
10. A pairing that I despise. Sarah/Three. Just, no.

01. The first character I first fell in love with. Brace yourself--Spike. I was a big Forever Knight fan back in the day and when "School Hard" was about to air, there was a lot of talk on the FK listserve about this new BTVS character. I took one look and was in love. Then "Inca Mummy Girl" came along and all the Spike love was lost to the magic of Oz.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now. Devon. I know it's a shock. After all, I am the ultimate Devon groupie. I think I was just so overwhelmed with Oz that it took me a while to notice him.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't. I really can't think of one.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates While I don't love her, I don't understand all the Kennedy hate. I think the relationship was rushed and forced, but I liked her character. I think she would be much better with Faith than with Willow though. Faith would spank the spoiled right out of her. At least in my mind.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer Spike. I don't hate him, but he can't compare to the power of Oz.
06. The character I would shag anytime. Giles. Because I wouldn't want to get between Oz and Devon. Plus, I think Giles has some mad skills in bed.
07. The character I'd want to be like Buffy.
08. The character I'd slap Andrew. You KILLED Jonathan. You bastard!
09. A pairing that I love Oz/Devon.
10. A pairing that I despise Spike/Xander. {{ducks to avoid flying objects}} For the simple reason that so much of it is so poorly written. There is some good stuff out there if you look but sometimes it's overwhelmed by the truly awful. Luckily, I have fabulous writers on my FL so I only get the best.
